George Carlin, the late great philosopher? I think so.

Every year I get his calendar. I keep it at my desk at work. He's good for a lot of laughs, but every once in a while he comes up with some deep stuff. I had to share todays with you all because it is oh-so-true. "We take a lot of things. We take a lot of [b]good[\b] things. We take time, wetake heart, we take solace, medicine advice; we take a job, take a break, we take a vacation, a leave, a nap, a rest, a seat, we takea meal. We take, take, take until we can't take anymore. Maybe it's because our inner nature is not primarily one of giving, but of taking. Even these things we take that should balance our lives and give us rest do not. We make work out of them. We do them aggressively, always in control. Take But when we give, we give a lot of bad things. We give trouble, heartache, sorrow; we give someone a hard time, a migraine, give 'em a heart attact, and give 'em a big pain in the @ss." I thought this was very profound, with a touch humor only Gearge Carlin can inject. Have you a favorite philosopher?

I love George Carlin and have never thought of him this way. I guess I would have to say him for a favorite. This topic is way deeper than Seasame Street so lets just say it hasn't been in the center of my mind lately

I like comedy! Where ever it comes from! I like many philosophies, and comedians too.
