In the following artical it is reported that the most recent CBS poll shows Obama's 8 percent bounce from the convention vitually gone! Although many other polls show Obama with a slight lead, CBS has always been the poll to have Obama with the largest lead! To have the results from a CBS poll come back with these numbers has to very discouraging for the Obama camp! Here is the article: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0908/13168.html P.S. It may have been published in a "right wing rag" but that doesn't change the CBS poll numbers!!

There is only one poll that matters, and come election day the results are going to be interesting to say the least. Obama has nothing but rhetoric, and brings no experience to draw on... which means someone is going to have to hold his hand. That isn;t leadership, and he doesn't have leadership qualities. Obama is a follower, and the little he has done so far amounts to him having served some minor roles in community service. Here is a lawyer that has never been to court, has done nothing much with his life except written a couple of books about himself. He is an empty suit, empty rhetoric with no substance and nothing to show for his life. He has no accomplishments, no achievements, nothing that makes him stand above the crowd of those who have done many more thing, sacrificed more, and haven't tried hiding their past in the process like Obama has. When is he going to be vetted anyway?

You're right, Destiny007. There is only one poll that matters. Still, this is interesting. I can't wait to see the results now that the convention is over. It's funny that you mentioned that Obama has never been to court. I saw him mouthing off yesterday about, "at least I'm a lawyer..." and I wondered what he had ever done as a lawyer.

Well, if he has been to court, it was a supporting role, and not as a lead attorney... which means he basically handed papers to the lead attorney actually doing the talking.

Thanks for the comments Destiny and Kenzie, I believe I read this about Obama in some of my internet travels. How do you portray yourself as a lawyer and never go to court?

This is good to see. But, the Rasmussen poll has him 49-42 over McCain last night. I guess we will have to wait and see what comes out since the Republican convention is over. It will probably be the first of the week before we see any more polls that really will matter in terms of seeing who is favored.

Barb, Thanks for the comment. You are correct, just one poll showing them tied is not a fantastic indicator in and of itself but, for it to be the one poll that has consistantly shown larger leads than the others has to be significant!

46-45 is what I'm reading right now. I treat leaners as undecided but I'm including that part so nobody thinks I'm leaving things out deceptively. "Obama now attracts 46% of the vote while McCain earns 45%. When "leaners" are included, it’s Obama 48%, McCain 46% " http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Yes, I saw that poll today just before I left, and after I posted the other comment. I guess we'll have to wait until after the weekend to really see what happens.

I'm not much of a McCain fan, but I certainly don't want Obama in the Oval Office and if that's what it takes, then so be it. Did you watch The O'Reilly Factor last night? I've got to remember to watch the rest next week. It promises to be volatile!

Obama actually didn't do too bad, except when he still hedged on the 'my vote against the serve was still right'. I think the rest of the interview will be on Mon/Tues/Wed of next week, so I hope I don't forget.

Ldyjarhead, Thanks for the comment. No, to be quite frank I had forgotten he was going to interview Obama and didn't even record it. I'm going to try to at least get it recorded next week!
