How much is it will it kill. Well for me i had taken paracetamol for 4 in bout 1 hrs a day, can't blame for that if your headache is killing you. I had to take it as i had work with me, so unbearable that i had to take 4 of them in 1 separate hours to kill the pain. Is it dangerous if you take more then 4??

The other day, I tried to kill myself by taking an overdose and mixture of pills. Well 17 pills did not kill me.. I'm still alive and kicking.. So, at least now you know you can safely take up to 17 pills without being killed! Actually, I think it all depends on each individual's body ability to process the medication. Some people die of overdose with just more than 8 pills, some people like me has nothing happening to me even though 17 pills were taken in all at the same time, mixed in with 1 bottle of cough syrup. Well, who knows? But then, even if it doesn't kill, I can assure you that anything more than 2 pills is still dangerous. Even though I didn't die or land myself up in the hospital, I felt terrible for about 8 hours, and I wanted to vomit but could not. In the end, that agony in the stomach plus the drowsiness and the headache that the pills gave you is one experience that I would never ever want to experience ever again in my life. Well, take care and try not to take more pills than whatever is required. You will never know how much can your body endure and trust me, you don't want to try. Don't gamble with your life like this if you don't want to die. Stick with 2 maximum per day! Cheers, and have a nice day!!

you are absolutely right. there are so many factors that could affect the metabolism of the medications that you took. 1. the preparation of the medicine, i.e. how many milligrams it is? 2. the type of the medicine. 3. your body's condition at present. 4. are your stomach full or not? 5. the ability of your liver to metabolize it. 6. the function of your kidney to eliminate them. 7. the condition of your heart. (the weaker it is the more prone you are) 8. your buffer system (it may sound too medical but it pertains to our body's defense mechanism in fighting foreign substances, it may involve our lungs as well) ok, so much for that.. now you may not be able to see and realize the effect of the medications that you took but i am sure you regret it already and don't wait for the time that your body could no longer handle the stress that you are giving to your liver. any medicine that we took will always lodge and metabolize by our liver so don't abuse it.

i cannot follow your dosing of your medications and it confuses me and somehow it appears to me that you have two dosage that you present. 1. you took 4 in an hour/day (i don't know how many you had taken/day) 2. you took 4/hour? is that what you mean when you said "you took 4 in 1 separate hour? now for the pharmaceuticals point of view, the recommended dosage for adult (12 years and above), 1 tab every 6 hrs that if the preparation is 500mg, so total in all you must NOT exceed 2000mg/day. now make sure that the spacing of taking them matters a lot too. what i'm saying is the time gap from the time you took the first dosage to the next dose. overdose is the only effect that is definite when you took more than 2000mg/day of paracetamol. that would irritate the lining of your stomach (that is why it is recommended to take it with food or milk) and would affect liver and kidney functions. you have to take note also that this recommendation is based on multiple sampling yet, individual effect varies also and that i couldn't say that 2000mg is good or bad for you but we all know that medicine manufacturer would always be on the safe side thus they came out of that certain dose. on the other hand, if taking paracetamol in higher dosage and that is beyond the recommended dosage then i think that medicine is not working at all for you, so i believe it is beneficial or appropriate if you change brand/s.

O i meant that i had 2 per hr, so that makes 4 for 2 hrs. Maybe i wrote it wrongly.

ok, that make sense to me now.. so would that mean that you only have 4 pills in the whole 24hrs? or how many did you consume in 24hrs time? this matters a lot too.

It's far too much to consume 4 in separate of 1 hr.. U cant take it that way, because u din allow any time for the capsule to take effect b4 u pop in another one.. and when it really takes effect, u will be facing another bigger headache, as the capsules are too much for your body to handle Always allow time for them to take effect and thus dun be impatient, medicine are not wonder pills that make u feel better immediately.. ALways remember that, medicine or treatment cant be rushed, or else, it will only brings negative effects..

That's so crazy what you're doing. Basically paracetamol doesn't have any serious side effect beside liver failure. Because it is metabolized in your liver. But the recommended dose is not more than 4 tablets per day. If you have a headache every hour after taking the pill, you might want to consult your physician at once. Paracetamol only blocks your hypothalamus from perceiving pain sensation, it's not eliminating the cause.
