Have you ever encountered products that have a label on them saying that it is new and improved? I am sure you have, however have you stop to wonder on this question, how can a thing be new and improved? If it is new, what was it improving on? :D

Many products received several feedbacks, and even within their own company, they decided to replace certain ingredient or something similar...

Mostly when companies want to refresh their image they choose to create me-too products which generally is the same product with only very little variation on their ingredients.

Well I wouldn't say most, but there ARE companies that do that.

Maybe its improved the ingredients that is used in the product. Maybe they have added a new ingredient to help with the flavour and taste!! It might have less salt in it so its therefore healthier for us!! There are many reasons why it may say new and improved but obviously it depends on teh product in question!!

Usually, I think when something says new and improved, the meaning to me is the product has the same name as before. The improvement may be an added ingredient, an new smell, a new size etc. I don't think it means that it is new and improved. It's basically an improvement on an old product, which enhances it's performance. It is new because the product is not like the old product, and of course the improvement is the added ingredient.

From what you said, yes, the product is improved, and the improvement is for all to see, hence "Improved"... New? Why not? A new flavour is new, a new ingredient is new, a new effect or enhancement is also new! :D
