do you have a motto in life that you live by?

i know everyone have a motto to two but do we live by this motto? or we just simply tag this motto but in reality we do not live by it. do you have a motto in life? if so, what is it? do you live your life as the motto goes?
when i was younger, i would always say "strike while the iron is hot" and if opportunities come my way i usually grab it thinking of the greener pasture that it can give me. but now i just live by this word from God, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.". and He does all the time.

Heya Kenchiprincess..
We have 2 mottos i this dear old house of ours...
Number 1 is that we are here for a GOOD time Not a long time,
and the other is from a Stephen King Novel, "Tales of the Dark Tower" series
Which is...(and my kids have all been taught this)... "Stand and be True"
The latter, has helped us in more ways than can be imagined!

I live by my "motto" and I am teaching the same to my son. That is: "You like who you like, you love who you love. Age, gender, race and religion are just variable factors in love."
I do, very much, stand by that saying. Gender preference makes no difference to me. Because of that saying I don't consider myself straight, even though I am currently with a man. I hope my son grasps this motto and lives by it as well.

You are very lucky yaa. What is moto in life. The real moto or motive in life is "Live and Let Live". Have this moto and your almighty is always with you.Here is the success of life. Live a lovable life is my moto and I am living no problem.Comment and have nice day.
