My daughter was about 6 years old and she had just lost one of her baby teeth and she put it under her pillow and went to bed. Well about 10 minutes later she comes out scared as can be saying my ear hurts. Well I proceed to look in her ear and low and behold the tooth was lodged in her ear canal. I was like 'Why is your tooth in your ear?' She replied 'I was trying to hear the ocean.' Well the emergency doctors had to put this one in their weirdest emergency book 'Child wants to hear the ocean in her tooth.' They said it was the first they have ever heard of this happening. She 26 now and we all still tease her about this one. What is the weirdest thing that you have heard that a child put in their ear?

We were at the lake earlier that week and found some shells that she was trying to here the ocean and I guess that is where she got the idea. It took them about 10 minutes to get it out. But thank goodness there was no damage.

When my sister was about six years old, she stuck a pea up her nose, and couldn't get it out. My mother was able after a while to get it out without it going further up her nostril. We never found out why she decided to do that. After that incident she aquired the nickname Peedie

Too funny. I like the nick name. Do you still call her that?

When we were little my brother stuck a pencil in his ear to itch it and the eraser came off and got lodged inside. My parents had to take him to the hospital to have it removed.....did she hear the ocean?

My kids have never been ones to put things in places they do not belong. Thank goodness. Funny, she wanted to hear the ocean in her tooth. I wonder where she got that idea from.

That is definitely a first. The weirdest thing my son has ever put in his ears is playdough. I was able to get it out, and told him not to put it in his ears again. He never did, but he did put some up his nose. It is both scary and funny to watch children learn about the world around them.

Now that is a first for me. My little ones have never put the playdough in anything but lids to ink pens and stuff like that. That is too funny though. They have to experiment with just about everything.
