Who has an ulcer?

I found out yesterday that I have one. They biopsied it. I didn't think ulcers could be malignant. I am glad I found out why I haven't felt good, but it is still upsetting news. Tell me how you cope. Do your meds work? What do you eat?

well if you got an ulcer, the best thing i can suggest to you is eat your meal on the right time, small frequent meal my friend, but if you really want to know better management about your ulcer it would be better if you describe me what type of ulcer it is, is it GASTRIC or DUODENAL ulcer? the best thing right now is prevent accumulation of acid and or probably neutralize it my friend, if your taking meds any kind of meds is suggest take them with food and a glass of water, avoid foods that are gastric irritants (highly seasoned foods such as spice, salt and etc.) i dont suggest you to rely on meds my friend because every med has its own danger such as hepato or probably nephrotoxic this are usual adverse effect of meds! thats all i can suggest my friend keep safe and stay healthy..... live, laugh and love...until then and GODBLESS.....

They told me it is not the kind of ulcer that is caused by bacteria. It was most likely caused by taking naproxin for years. I am supposed to avoid high fiber foods. I am taking prilosec and clidinium before meals.I agree on the negative effects of meds, but right now I need these to heal up the inside of my stomach, which they said is very raw. Added to this misery is the pain of my arthritis because I can no longer take anti inflamatories. I'm going to see my back doctor today. I hope I can get myself into better shape because right now I am miserable!Thanks for your concern.I appreciate it.

im glad i dont have any. i just was careful about the food i eat and i never let myself go on without a meal.

AND, if you ever get arthritis, don't take any anti-inflamatories. They can cause ulcers, and kidney and liver failure! They don't always tell you that until it is too late!
