My sister just emailed me about a little girl who was concerned about the enormous amount of dogs in shelters due to their owners not being able to afford to take care of them due to the economy. So this girl set up a donation idea online to get free food donated every time you go to their site. How resourceful is that kid!?! Great! My discussion is directed to not only this girl but the thousands of kids out there who see a problem in the world and just do something about it. They don't care about the red tape and politics...they just go out there to fix it! Wouldn't it be great to have the heart of a child and the no nonsense these special kids possess to make the world a better, loving place to live? Do you know one of those special kids? Share them with us and maybe we can learn from them!

My daughters volunteer every Friday. We deliver Meals on Wheels together once a week. I homeschool so on Fridays we do review and what I like to call "family values day". They go in with me and hug and visit the seniors that are on our route. The girls truly make their day; it is heartwarming. They were featured in our local Seniors Magazine and now they think they are famous. Oh, by the way, they are 9 and 4 1/2 years old.
