Did you ever try BMX MTB?

I'm talking about the 24" Cruisers that are a hybrid between MTB and BMX. I had one of them and didn't like it at all. The size is neither compact enough for doing tricks like with a BMX, neither with big enough wheels to ride very long (or bumpy) roads.
Mine was an Identiti P45. Have you ever tried it? What do you think about it?
