Turtles are fun to watch but I'm not sure they make great pets. / myLot

I enjoy watching a turtle moving around outside. I am not sure that they would make a good pet. Does anyone own a turtle? What do you think? How much care to do have to take for a turtle?

I have a turtle and he is awesome. He doesn't seem to need much care. I mean as opposed to a child. He is like a little tank, he climbs over everything. And our dogs think he is great fun.

I have a turtle, and I love him a lot =) For me he takes a lot of work because I care for him really well. I think turtles make good pets if you get a good one and know how to care for them. =)
