I know people have fun choosing their avatars. Like in Second Life the majority choose what they would like to look like? Some people for security reasons would choose any picture but the own. Why will anybody choose his or hers picture?

I have an avatar because my husband doesn't like me to post pictures of myself or of the children on the big web, same as the children's names. He doesn't mind me talking about them but only likes me to use boy/girl and there ages.
But it is each and everyone on here to there own to do which they like, there is no real right answer or wrong answer its just up to the person, we all have our own different views and they are all correct

I spare the mylot population the agony of seeing me in the flesh.
I truely am ugly.
I do enjoy selecting an avatar that is eyecatching.
i hope i have achieved that.

I like using my own picture I mean why not? I don't really understand the risk. Its just a picture its not a social number! No one here knows where I live and I know for sure that there are at least 100 different people in my state that look very similar to me... so I really don't get what the drama is all about. I'll let people look at me if they really want lol.
