"The use of music for those with arthritis provides opportunity for pain relief, anxiety and stress reduction and positive changes in both mood and emotional state." Great! I hope it could be a therapy for carpal tunnel syndrome. Is music a therapy for you? Good day!

Music works as an emotional therapy for me. I get a lot out of listening to songs with depressing undertones in the melodies and introspective lyrics. I don't know about the physical side of it, though. I guess one could listen to music and forget about their physical pain. But I haven't experienced that yet.

Music has great healing powers, form being a baby to haivng some of the light classical music played to you too soothe you to sleep, then to nursery school where you start to learn all of the tunes the young ones learn. Then you may go into the school choir, and sing your little heart out,and teenage years bring lots of musical memories,a particular song may be assocaited with someone special, there may be melodies that make you feel sad, there may be tunes that make you feel happy. All the way around in life music has an impact on life. There are certain types of music that are played at different times in our lives,we marry and we have the bridal march, stirring music is played at occasions such as the Promenade concerts. If you stop and think or a moment where would the world be without music and the great composers,if you think long enough about it ,the world would be an empty place with no song or tune.

Is that so? Well somehow I think this is true. Music can soothe! I for one love listening to music of my choice coz I always find this to be comforting to my soul. If my soul could be comforted by the good music I hear....then it follows that it could also heal physical pain. Great! So I will listen my type of music more and more! Thanks for posting this topic.
