Would you legally change your name if..

it was the same as a serial killers? whether it be a serial killer from real life or from a fictional movie?? i think i wouldnt want to be named the same as some one horrific.. but legally changing my name would be a pain in the butt..
what if the killer was just recently caught? you were older than the killer etc? would that matter? what if it was a terrorist name instead of a serial killer such as the unibomber etc..??

i would think that some people would think that you would be joking saying it was the same as the killer if you were trying to say it was your name like to get reservations or doc appts etc

true lol.. whats funny is if you think about i that the common last names arent normal famous killer names.. not many smiths.. i can only think of one jones.. the ones that are memorable arent typical.. but then again that might be why they stick out

Eh it might bother me slightly but I like my name, so I doubt it.
... Maybe if it was a name I didn't like anyway, but everyone would know I wasn't the killer, so .............. wouldn;t be that horrible, just teasing as I already get for being named after a local beach and being vegetarian, etc...

lol i dont know anyone with my name since one of my names is like two names combined into 1 so it would be very weird if it were to happen to me for that reason.. i just picture the seinfeld episode where elaine is dating some one with the same name as a serial killer and when ever the persons named was mentioned in public people would freak

No, I wouldn't change my name. More than likely I would be amused by it. A few years ago someone with my name was a fugitive in my area. That actually had me a tiny bit concerned. As he looked vaguely like me. Most serial killers don't look like me however...
