First and Last initial in your name with the same lead to success?

i have heard several times that a lot of people going into show biz and etc choose their show names as both the first and last name starting with the same letter because a lot of famous people have been that way.. i.e. hugh hefner jenna jameson marilyn monroe danny davito sylvester stalone agh i could go on forever (some of those might be their real names but i was just trying to throw some examples out there) you think that the Double same letter initial thing does help? kind of like helps it get stuck in your head to where your chance is better?

will smith, robert deniro dustin hoffman al pacino, all these guys and many many others didn't and they are great successes, so I don't think that has any bearing on one's ability to do well in movies at all.

i think people starting out may try to do the double.. maybe they suck and have tried for years with one name and then change it and actually get picked and it was a coincidence or something.. i dunno like i said i have heard of people saying it helps and there are a few that do have it so i just wonder if theirs were planned or just were already that way

i have heard people adding a latter or two to their names for inproved luck, but nothing like having the same initials repeated, may be there is a catch in that too

Yep, I think it's 'catchy' so more people can remember it. I think the same is true for businesses, especially smaller businesses. Those that have two-word names that begin with the same letter are easier to remember. When I was young, we had neighbors with a last name of Smedley. All of the kids, five in all, had first names that began with an 'S'. I thought it was neat at the time and still remember them all, all these years later.

Never heard of this. Never thought of it. Given your example, could be some type of "marketing" know how that indicates that this works. But I can think of many more successful people that don't have same initial names, so who knows. I probally would say that though it may help, that the majority of the success would come from talent and hard work.

I seriously don't believe in all such superstitions. My first name and last name don't start with the same initials but I don't mind it at all. I'm a happy go lucky chap Hehehe...

well as far as show biz i think that maybe it helps it sound better to where maybe more memorable.. but i dont know.. if i was gonna pick a show name i wouldnt do it.. i would make it sound cool but i think it would be more limited with the same initial
