What do you have handy on your bedside?

Since I was young I've always considered the lampshade as my companion. I like sleeping in a pitch black environment, therefore it would really be difficult if I wake up and walk in the middle of the night. Good thing is that I always have some light source on my bedside. First it was a lampshade, not until I was electrocuted. Then I opted to have a flashlight, until I used my cellphone as my light source...now I'm back to my flashlight mode...The good thing is my wish was finally granted, it has a white light now. How about you? What do you have handy on your bedside? Hope to hear from you...^^

I have my radio/alarm to wake me up, a bottle of water, my mobile, some tissues and my indoor shoes (on the floor).

great question ! well, i have nothing now. i had a lamp, but never used it as i have street lights very close by and can see quite well. i had an alarm clock, but i was too eager to hit the snooze button. therefore, i had to move it across the room. i have no clue why i even HAVE a nightstand any more. LOL
