What do you think would happen if the candidates talked aobut whatplan to do if elected, and not about each other? Shouldn't that be topic number one? We know they disagree, and that they hope we won't vote for their opponents. We know there never was a perfect person running for office. How would it work if they would tell us what their plans are, which we don't necessarily know?

Wouldn't that be very nice! If, as you have said, they only talked about what they planned to do when they become President and never say anything bad about their opponent - that would be very refreshing!

It would aso help us to determine for whom we want to vote! I would love to know more about what everyone plans, but they seem not to want to tell us!

I think candidates these days are less apt to talk about what they're going to do when they are elected - in the past candidates have done that and then it was used against them later if they were unable to do what they said they would.

In addition to that, these days the other side rips apart any plan that is detailed so both sides are keeping as many details to themselves as they can get away with. They have talked about a few things and both sides have equally attacked the other's ideas.

It would really be nice to know the issues where the candidates stand, where the VP's stand since they would assume the position in the event of the president not being able to continue, a lot sooner than a month before the election. Sorry for the run-on just had to cover too much in the same thought.

You're so right. I just hung up from a friend who was trying to convince me of the truth of a number of things aobut both candidates that have been proven false. I gave up on trying to dispute any of it, and I told her I really don't know what to think. What I know for sure is that there's so much misinformation out there that we may not ever know the truth! Surely nobody who voted for George W. knew what he would do,or he wouldn't have been able to get even close to office!

This election is so crazy. I'm really thinking that I am going to write in Art Bell, at least he is extremely intelligent lol. I can't wait until this is all over. I just wish the McCain/Palin ticket would start releasing their stance on the issues we don't already know about (abortion/religion) so either way the American public can know what to expect.

We know they disagree, and that they hope we won't vote for their opponents. Such a good point.. How much do we have to hear about about the party that we are Not going to vote for anyways! I would also like to hear of what they will be doing and what they won't be doing. I think that if they spoke a about what they will do, and what they won't do.. that would help everyone to decide! Good discussion!
