If so, what are the things you enjoy doing or buying in order to make your space beautiful? Do you watch TV programs to get inspired...

I am very house proud so i love doing up my house and beautifying the spaces.There are lots of spaces so I put a lot of wall hangings.I have got nice shelves made to keep figurines.Then I have lots of miniature things made of brass I have put them in small shelves and these shelves have been mounted on the wall.I love going through magazines like "Inside outside".They feature some very nice homes so i get ideas from them.Once you get into beautifying your house it almost becomes like an obsession that you keep buying all the nice things you come across.It makes you feel good.

Your last statement is totally true it makes us feel GOOD! The atmosphere around a house that the owner takes pride in caring for, it's of a HOME not just a house.
The miniatures you have are a result of a special interesting in collecting, or just beautiful items you have encounter? I collect eggs and cats, many are miniatures, which are display in curios, others are display on independent decorative shelves (the cats).
About the obsession thing, it's a positive one because improves our quality of life!
Magazines are a great source of inspiration also many TV programs help in getting ideas I like Martha Stewart especially when it comes to organizing.
Sorry I took so long to reply I have had some hectic days lately, I haven't had the time to log on. Iam very happy of mylotting with you!

I use to move the furnature around all the time. I would paint the walls when I felt that I needed a change. Or Buy new curtains. But now I cant do all thoes things because of disabilities. But I still like things to look different, so with all the many different things that I done over the years and the new styles I can pick and choose what I can use where. I have sewn a lot of pillows. Made quilts and of course christmas things. I have always loved making my house my Home. It;s a great feeling and it doesn't take a lot of money.
My sister goes to the Dollar stores and picks up things, my brother-in-law wishes they would close them down. It all depends what you like, but you can find almost anything now days for next to nothing.

JLMack thank you for your replay, sorry I have taken longer than I wish I could. Last two days have been one of those that take all my time.
I used to be just like you, I loved to move all around but as you time has pass, and I do not agree with Carlos Gardel who says "20 years are nothing". I do feel these 20 years. Sorry to hear about your disabilities, but it is inspirational to know you keep your spirit of beatifying your home, I think having our space beautiful regardless of the money we spend is food for the soul.
Great you have the skill of sewing, I do too. It's a big plus in saving and adding
interesting colors and our own touch. Your sister is a savvy girl visiting the dollar store, with creativity and good taste you can make magic.
A leaf in clear jar at the right place can add a touch of elegant beauty.
With Xmas around the corner, (which is my favorite holiday) Is time to start planning.
