I just watched movie number 4, I am a grandmother, not a kid, but I love these movies. I haven't had a chance to read the books, can anyone tell me how close the movies are to the books? I know that often the books and the movies are nothing alike. It is fun watching the young actors grow up a little more in each movie.

I am a 34 year old woman and I love the books and the movies. Only the books are even more interesting and the story unfolds page by page. They have changed a lot of the things in the movies. The books encourage good character more than the movies do. You will feel the characters unfolding themselves in each page.

Do you know, I read the books when they come out, but by the time the film comes out I've forgotten all the details, so I don't actually know! I do like the films, but I don't like the gap between the films. In the books, the children are only 1 year older each time, but by the time they make the films, there are a few years between each one, and so by the last film they will look like oap's - no offence!
