What types of plants can I buy to keep indoors?? Are there any plants that I would be able to keep inside that have flowers on them?? And can you keep them year round?? Thanks.

Hi, First know is that plant growth and flowering is governed by the length of daylight available with Winter being the shortest and Summer the longest daylight hours. African violets thrive on a bright window sill with indirect light aka no full sun. I have a unique hanging houseplant that grows like the old fashioned spider plant called a Walking Iris. This is a 'tropical' iris that propagates by sending out runners with new plant-lets that bloom for a few weeks in the Spring then take root and the cycle continues. In a hanging pot the babies drop down and bloom mid air with the prettiest vibrant mini iris blooms. A Victorian houseplant fav is the Abutilion with large maple-like leaves. Abutilion sport large waxy long lasting flowers that are found in dozens of colors . HTH, sienna

Most houseplants that flower are going to still need good bright light. I have African violet and Christmas cactus that flower inside. Peace Lillies also get flowers but they can tolerate a little lower light.
