I think I over-did it today...

As some of you know, I'm training for the Susan G Komen 3-Day Walk next month. I had to quit my training walks for a while because of some breathing problems. The problems have about gone away and the doctors have no clue what's wrong with me, so I'm back to my training. Well, today I decided to go 11 miles (I've only been walking 3 every day the last 2 weeks). I am SOOOOO sore! I hate to think of how I'm going to feel in the morning!!!

Good luck with your soreness. I hope you are not as sore as you think you will be. I am so proud to know you are doing this for all woman. I had my annual boobie squishing on Friday. I did my part. heehee

Thanks! I do feel better today that I thought I would. I've only got 3 more weeks to get ready. I'm mostly worried about blisters during the walk, but I'm going prepared.

I am proud of you girlfriend. You need good shoes and maybe two pairs so they hit your feet in different places.

Thanks, I actually had to buy new shoes yesterday, but I have to see if I can take them back. They are not nearly as comfortable as they were in the store.

That is so strange that they never figured out what was causing your breathing problems. But I am so glad that you are feeling much better. That is great that you are back to walking again getting ready for the 3 day walk. I do hope you didn't over do it but remember if you are sore they day, No Pain No Gain. haha

The doctors decided it was emotional, which kinda makes sense - I had a very hectic summer. They want me to get a second opinion though, so I'll do that. I'm sure it'll say the same thing, I have very few "outbursts" now.
I did get up and walk this morning, only 2 miles because I got moving late. If I had just stayed in bed I know that I wouldn't have worked out the soreness. I've got to get back on track - it's only like 3 weeks away!

Wow reiny, You go girl! I give you alot of credit! Your are
doing great! You did 11 miles! That's alot of walking! I
don't think I'd have made it more than the first 2. And you
are doing the walk for 3 days! How much rest do you get
in between? That sounds totally unbelievable. How do you
do that? I jsut can't imagine. I know the cause is definitely
worth it, I just don't know how people do it. I will be
routing for you from wherever I am and thinking and praying
for you every step that you take. I can promise you I will
be with you in spirit!

Thank you so much. The support I'm getting from people is what's really helping me do this. I do like to walk so that's a plus, but when I'm tired and want to not walk one day I think of all the people that are counting on me. It's really easy then because it's just putting one foot in front of the other.
