This is my friend Gea Amaba an aspiring model from the Philippines. She is a contestant for Look Of The Year - an online beauty contest where the winner is determined by votes. Gea came to me a six months ago asking if i could help her get into modeling. She works at a fast food chain and is also a scholar taking HRM (Hotel and Restaurant Management). It is at that fast food place where she works that I met her last year. She wants to earn extra to help her family and people have been telling her to get into modeling because of her pretty looks. Anyway, although I didn't know anything about the modeling biz nor have a foot in it I tried to help her get into the modeling anyway. I got her into an agency here in the Philippines and at present they consider a freelancer although she has yet to work as a model. Gea is a very intelligent girl and very hard working. It is fortunate that she got herself into a scholarship because like a lot of my countrymen her family is not at all well to do and they a live in a small rundown government owned tenement home. She so wants to help ease the burden of her family which is why she joined this online contest in the hope of being able to give something back to the family. The contest is petty straightforward, you vote by rating a chosen contestant. There is no registration and you will not get spammed for voting because no personal information will be asked of you.
