Relevent to Canadians, obviously because it's your government and there are signifigant policy issues and clashes with in all the players. relevent to americans because of the close relations between our nations AND because we complain about our government and it's ripping away freedoms and grabbing power. We don't realize how fortunate we are to be able to rely on a at least a stable system, despite some ustable politicians Now I realize that Canadians, may see this one as a blessing to be able to re-vote as Harper is almost as unpopular there as Bush is here, but still, it has to create a senses of insecurity in your governmental system. We couldn't have Bush disolve congress (though I would love to fire that whole useless lot myself) so it is a difficult thing for me to grasp, the leader simply being able to disolve an entire legislative branch and dictate another vote. http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/americas/09/07/canada.elections.ap/index.html and for who the players are and their plans: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canadavotes/story/2008/09/07/parties-campaigns.html

I am Canadian and I think that Canadian Politics are the most boring thing ever! American Politics are more interesting then my own country's! Calling another election does show how unstable our government is and if everyone hates who we have right now, then WHY in G's name did everyone VOTE for him!!! In all honesty, all our politians here are goof offs and I think that we need to do a clean sweep and get rid of all politians and start fresh with new people and new ideas to bring to the plate. Maybe start listening to the concerns of the everyday regular JOE. Calling another election isn't going to do a thing. We are going to elect in another moron who everyone hates and it's going to be never ending. I've given up personally. I know our government sucks and that's never going to change.

Well, three are a lot of us that wish we could just replace this entire usless and childish congress right now, they literaly carry the lowest approval rating in u.s. history and have acomplished the least of any in recent memory. b ut at least congressional elections are every 2 years, so either way i think we're going to see a lot of new faces this round.

BCMike, I really hope this works because I've really lost faith in our government. It think Canadians are affraid of change. If they vote in someone else, things will change and Canadians see that as bad. I think now, they are finally seeing and starting to get fed up with our government as well. Does that make me think that anyone but Liberal will win? NO...Liberals will still win nothing changes and our government still sucks. I'll cross my fingers for you and pray for you to win so that some sort of Change can start happening for our Great Country.

Oh-oh. That doesn't sound good at all! Some don't realize how absolutely important is the "balance of powers" in government.. if we humans were saints we wouldn't need a system of checks and balances.. The world is taking giant leaps backwards..
