When you got married did you find that various family members tried to take over the planning of the day? or did you totally have the day you wanted?

We didn't give our families a chance. We told them on Tuesday we were getting married on Friday. Worked great for us.

that is a brilliant idea - i will pass that on to a good friend of mine who wants to get married without it turning into a circus!

Love is a great feeling which has to be expressed. If you find it true, never fail to convey, thats a tribute to the love in real.

Actually, everyone was pretty cool with backing off. I think really the only person who did that was my mother-in-law. She needs to be involved in everything & have everything her way. My fiance (at the time) was sure to let her know that she needed to back off and let me and him do things our way because it was OUR wedding & she'd already had her day.
