Ok everyone, I have a home based business, and I love it! Now, it is my business, so there were a few start up fees. However, if you buy a traditional business, you'd be out hundreds of thousands of dollars, and it my take several yrs to ever be out of the red. So why is it that when people are interested in my business opportunity, they are totally offended that there is a start up fee?

Hi there, I have a home business with several companies that I am promoting. I have a Primary business that we bought into. As any business takes time to build relations with people and especially online we needed to diversify and look for something else where we could make some extra money while building. I am involved with 3 other biz ops that had a smaller startup fee and were quicker to get off the ground. One really needs to do their own Due Diligence and thoroughly investigate the business you are looking to join up with. It is no use joining randomly from another persons recommendations as they can be wrong, then blaming them for recommending the particular business - We are all Big Kids now. Be responsible for your own actions. I reckon if more people did their own investigative research then more people would not be scammed. I have been scammed and it was more due to my following the crowd and not doing my own research.

There are some people that do not understand what a home based business is about. Most have the mindset of an employee and may not be acceptable candidates for a business opportunity. The benefits of having a home based business are great. But you have to treat it like a business. There is always an investment to start a business. These people that are offended that there is a start up fee in your business are not serious candidates for any business opportuity. Don't waste your time with them. Remember, you want to qualify people to see if you want to spend time working with them, if they are motivated and dedicated to create income from home. I found an free ebook that really helped me to understand how to build my business and avoid mistakes most people make. You can download it at: www.keystogrowingsuccess.com Let me know what you think after you've read it. And if you have any questions. "To Your Success"

A home based business is the way to go. Yes there are start up fees but a your getting a business. Go out and try to get a franchise.... Or get your own buinding and all the equipment and so on. Most business that start that way fail. A home based business has alot better odds.

I have three home based businesses. I love all three and they do generate an income but in different ways. Of course, there are start up costs..........paper work, stationary, phone costs, computer costs, ink, printer, gas for car....the list is endless. So if someone out there thinks that they can start a business without spending money on startup is living in a dream world.

Too many people think start up fees equals scam. Sometimes that's true, sometimes it's not.

I think people probably think it could be a scam when they hear there is a start-up fee. Even if it's completely legitimate, people are leary because they could lose the money they invest. At least it's one way for you to know who is really serious about starting a business and who is not. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...
