What Are Your Thoughts About Spoof Movies?

Hey there mylotters I was just curious what people here thought about all the spoof movies that have came out lately. some examples are "superhero movie", "epic movie", "meet the Spartans" and one that Ive seen some ads for lately is "disaster movie". I for one have watched a few of these movies and I don't plan on renting them anymore. I just don't understand how a director/write for a movie can just hack and chop parts and pieces of a bunch of different movies together so stupidly. I mean it seems like all they do is make fun of current normal movies. The reasons that I watched a few of them is because I thought they would have somewhat of their own storyline but they dont. Everyone of them that I have watched is based off one certain movie with just a bunch of random crap thrown in. I guess they are funny to a certain group of people. :\
So anyways what do everyone else think about all these spoof movies? There must be a demand for them if theres always a new one comming out LOL.

Hello, spoof movies were alright when scary movies made them. But now they kind of got overrated. I have watched the recent ones; epic movie and meet the spartans. It just pisses me off how stupid it is, thinking we would actually laugh to the silly scenes. I think they are trying too hard it just seems stupid. I watched epic movie at the cinema with my friends. We walked out the cinema thinking if only we could refund the tickets. Such a waste!. I guess if you are still curious about spoof movies, just download them over the internet, don't even think of watching in the cinema or getting the dvds. There are better movies out there which is worth paying. Good question by the way! :) Happy posting!

I agree I thought the Scare Movie ones that were done a few years back were actually pretty funny. Now with the new ones they are comming out with they are just getting way to stupid. Its almost like they are made because they are so cheap that they can make money of them easier then a big budget movie. I would never go to see a spoof movie in the theater and I really regret getting Epic Movie and Meet the Spartens on DVD.

Some spoof movies are good BUT those are far and few between and for me personally, they cna only be watched once or twice then they just arent funny any more ya know.

I guess you're right. There must be a demand for it because they keep making them. The only one I really checked out was the Epic Movie. My son wanted to see it so I rented it through Netflix. I fast-forwarded through the movie before I let my son see it and only got half way through it before I turned it off. My son too stopped watching it said it was "lame". Good for him!
