If you are having serious problems with your system in relation to this trojan then I would backup your important files, and then reformat your hard disk, reinstall windows, restore your backups and this will give your system a fresh start. Only do this if you have tried to get rid of the trojan via anti-virus software and it hasn't worked. I think that you mentioned that you had tried a scan with AVG and it didn't work. I'm not sure why this was as AVG is a very good product and picks up things like that. Have you made sure that your AVG has been kept up to date? I currently use AVG 8.0, this is the latest free version. Good luck all the same! Andrew

In that case, I would definitely format your hard disk and start afresh by reinstalling windows with your original windows cd. Then make sure your system is up to date by checking out the microsoft updates site. Andrew

I would go to the store and buy a good anti-virus program. One that has the boot option on the CD then boot up your system and let is do an auto scan and clean the trojan off from your computer

Avast and AVG can do exactly the same things. For people from the third world countries (hello fellow Pinoys!) we prefer free stuff that offer the same services since those that we have to pay for cost A LOT in our currency. Let me just plug in our country then, if you want to go shopping, you may want to visit the Philippines :D Just feeling perky this morning. Good morning!

My computer is also affected by that virus before...It really sucks!!!Even i used any anti virus but still the virus is still there...that's why before that virus destroy my computer we need to reformat my computer again...I have no choice...That's why after my computer got reformatted the first thing we do is we install anti virus so that my computer will be free from any viruses... (we used AVG because it is much better than other virus..) happy mylotters!

What you need to do is if the virus is on your system and the virus protection will not remove the trojan/virus you need to have a virus program recovery disk / cd / jump stick, thumb drive, or what ever you want to call it and boot your system to that so that it is cleaned and removed with all the items on your hard drive not being accessed by the OS and it should be removed.
