Is There Any Real Secrets To Getting My Lot Referrals?

I'm sure some My Lotters have dozens of My Lot referrals. Is there any particular places to advertise to get referrals for My Lot? It's fairly easy to get referrals for free programs like PTC/GPT programs, but what about My Lot? What works best for you?
