Do MyLot friends have anything to do with your earnings? I am new to the site and I just received a friend request. I accepted but I don't know what the purpose of friends are? Can anyone help me out? Thanks!!!

No you won't earn just by adding a friend. However, there are benefits for having friends on mylot. For example, your friends can view your discussion starters or discussions you've responded to, and they could inturn give you a positive rating.

Hi there -
If you want to send a message or post a comment on a profile you need to be friends with that member.
Also as a friend you get notified via email when that friend has posted a new discussion. You can go into your profile to edit what you get emails on and then under friends you can turn it off for any friend if they post like non stop.
This than would help in getting ratings and comments on discussions.
At least this has been my experience and observation over the past four days as a member.
