Why did I agree to help?

I helped my brother move a couch yesterday evening. I offered my help because he needed it. I forgot that it was a sleeper sofa. Man that thing was heavy and awkward. He moved it wrong and it hit me square on both legs. Now I have 2 big purple bruises on my legs. Have you ever helped someone move and then got injured in the process? Have you moved recently? Did you have family offer to help?

Not me personally. There was the time my husband and his brothers were helping their sister move. My husband was driving a truck and his brother rear-ended him. We had to put $500 on our credit card to cover the collision waiver until his insurance paid up. But at least nobody was hurt.

Sure did. And when the people asked me how I wanted to pay the $500 I told them that I didn't 'want' to. They were not amused! :-)
