Would You Slydial?

I am not one to keep track with the latest on technology, gadgets and communication services. I'm sure some of you have already heard about slydial but I only knew about it when I was watching the news and they did a segment about it. From their site, www.slydial.com, slydial is a "voice messaging service which connects you directly to someone's mobile voicemail. Using slydial will enable you to avoid talking to the recipient but they still get your message. They'll probably just think they missed your call. You can use it to cancel a date or an appointment you don't really feel like going to. The company's website gave these different situations where slydial would work to one's advantage. If you want to confirm something or tell someone something but don't want to talk to them for a long time or waste time in idle chitchat, then slydial would work for you. They said you could use it to leave a message for someone who you know would be busy and does not want to be interrupted. But their selling point, I guess, is that you can use slydial to avoid awkward conversations. I think this service is only available in the US for now. You can use your cellphone or landline to call but the number you're calling should be a cellphone number. If this service is available in your country, would you Slydial? Why? If I'm to be honest, I think I probably would use it if I have to. Feel free to discuss what you think the consequences would be for society if everyone uses slydial.

I have never heard about slydial before since I usually do not keep up with the advancements in technology and such,it sounds like it would be useful because you can avoid talking to someone especially if you have bad news or just do not want them to answer, and leave them a message, and if slydial was available where me and my fiance lives then I might would consider giving it a try, because it would make things easier especially when me and my fiance are dealing with people who like to start trouble and run their mouths.

This sounds interesting! Is it something like http://jott.com/? My brother who lives in US uses it and its quite handy with all those transcribing stuffs and other facilities.

Hello mimpi. I am not familiar with jott either but I checked the site and I think the differences is jott transcribes your voice message into text messages while slydial automatically connects you to someone else's voicemail so you could leave them a message. Thanks mimpi, I'll be visiting the jott site again because it looks interesting to me. Take care!

Yes, I certainly would, and in fact I already have. I don't know if it is slydial or a similar service but it is available on my smartphone and I love it. It wasn't about not wanting to talk to the person as much as that he was a morning person and I typically don't get around to checking my voicemail until the middle of the night. With this service we could transact our business without either of us having to adopt a different schedule.

Thanks for responding drannhh. I didn't check if there are similar services offered by other companies but it's good to know that there might be at least another one. Slydial also acknowledged your situation as why it helps to use their voice messaging service.
