A friend told me this page on the Microsoft website http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc722350.aspx. According to him on this page explain how to use Windows Vista, a year, legally without a licence, but I actually did not understand much. Dear friends, believe that is possible what I told my friend?

Oh.. better stick to XP. If what you want is getting all those nifty features included with Vista, there are a lot of programs for WinXP that can do that for you, the only difference it that you have to install them by yourself or get someone good enough to do that for you. But that's way better than having to live with the trouble of Vista (here I am "flaming" at Vista even though I haven't tried it yet :'p). Vista is annoyingly incompatible with a lot of things that I need (according to what I've heard/read) and bloated. Vista is just hype IMHO. So it's XP and wait for the official release of Windows 7. Or, I think there's already an installable version of Windows 7 beta... dunno what's official though... http://www.winsupersite.com/Default.asp

I have Windows Vista and I personally don't know why anyone would WANT to use it - free or not! It came on my computer so I use it, but is is definitely not Microsoft's best effort!

From what I read, the site is for restoring your software and the grace period (probably) for 1 year is reset. This is Techy stuff-over my head.

I've never liked Windows Vista. It's much better to Linux nowadays if you don't want to have problems with licensing.
