i am really worried for my family thats for my parents and my brothers. i am just away from my parents and i am living well with my family here but i just heard from my mom that my brother was out of job and he is searching for otherone and i was really very worried about all of them in my moms place and i was just thinking how hard they might be facing to run the house after a great struggle and by gods grace now my brother is into job again and i really pray for my all three brothers to do well, earn well and keep my parents happy. i really personally want to helpout my parents financially but as i am not earning and my husband earns i cant help my parents really. this is the major problem what i have. i really wanted to earn and my husband is against me doing a job, me being an engineer i feel very bad to stay back at home and not to earn and somehow i want to do a job once i return to india and i am really trying to convince my husband too. but at the sametime i am really worried also after five years of break from my college and studies will i get a proper job or not i really get worried. and from my deep of my heart i wish to help my parents and brothers. so if you would pray for me you can pray for my job and also for the solution of the problems what i and my family have. thanks for praying my friend.

I don;t have any major concerns although a few challenges but you would probably count me as unsaved as I am a practising witch.

Good day leofajohnson, daughter of God. You have given such worthy teachings in your posts. I thank you for taking the time to pray for us who are in need of prayer. I also believe the same as you that prayer must be specific and that giving to and serving others is the way to live. There is always someone with a need and by praying for them we open the way for others to pray for us. One of my immediate concerns is for a court matter tomorrow (Thursday) where I am seekng the judge to grant in my favor a variation on the protective order to disallow my ex-common law husband from entering my home. It has been quite stressful dealing with this situation because he's always provoking and harrassing me and my son; we just want him away from us. The enemy is coming against me especially since I gave my life to Jesus last year and I was baptised this August 31. Please pray leofajohnson for my deliverance and for God's continued favor in the court matter for the protection order and the ongoing property settlement court matter which comes again on OCtober 2. My God has been blessing me and my son in so many ways and I give Him all the praise and all the glory for His never-ending, powerful and awesome Love. God bless you. ~*~

Hi michelled, You are wise in seeing the power of prayer. Seek Him in prayer, don't be ashamed to ask for the things you neeed. Ask and it shall be given, knock and the door shall be opened. Don't give up, keep praying. Also be sure to examine your life and to confess sin(He knows I have plenty in my life), and to give back to the Lord with your money, time, and everything else. It is all His, even our breath. God bless you, may He give you peace, strength, and hope. Charlie

My greatest concern right now is "what direction" am I to go. I am attending college but I'm not for sure where God wants me.

blackrose1151, Hi. I have always believed that God has given us interests, skills, and abilities to serve Him. And that we ought to use those skills and seek a path where we could use them. So you should try and decided how to use your interests in serving Him. Hope that helps, just thoughts off the top of my head. Warning!!!! I haven't had my coffee yet. So if this is meaningless, please forgive me. I will be praying for you, may the Lord give you direction. God bless you, Charlie

My main problem in life right now is that I need a full-time job that I am able to do. I have a partial physical handicap, so there are some types of work I cant do. I am working part-time in a restaurant now, but I need something that pays better. I don't know if I can pay my bills each month on what I make working there. I had a full-time job working in a call center for an internet service provider. It was not hard work physically, but the mental part was unbearable. I left there each day feeling like I had run a marathon. My nerves got to the point that I would have to get up and go to the bathroom and throw up...I got to the point that I didn't want to see the sun come up in the mornings, because I knew I had to go to that job, so I made arrangements to go back to work at this restaurant until I could find something else full-time. I have been putting in applications, but haven't had any luck. I have just about anything else in life a person could want...I just need a good job that pays the bills and doesn't make me want to crawl in a hole and die. That is the main problem I have right now. Otherwise, I am blessed more than anything I could ever ask for...I have a good wife and kid, three good dogs, a good family, a couple of good friends I can depend on, and we live in a decent house and drive dependable vehicles...I just need a job...

Hi goldeneagle, First of all, I will be praying for you and the family. Hopefully everybody else out there will be as well. Have you considered working two part time jobs? Can you do janitoral work? How about some work at Walmart? Newspapers? Some type of delivery service? Perhaps you could add a part time job to the restaurant. Some type of office work for a charity or church. Also try the different organizations that help find work for people, tell them your situation and perhaps they can help. You are wise in quiting the job you hated so much! It would have killed you sooner or later. Keep praying and don't give up! Have faith and expect a answer, ask and you shall recieve. God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers my friend. This is by far the sweetest thing I've ever seen on mylot so far. I've never seen anyone just simply offer prayer. I am so impressed, and even a little bit disappointed with myself for not offering as well. The biggest concern in my life right now is just having enough money to get by. My husband works everyday but we still have to stretch his check thinly. I think that the gas prices and our electricity bills going up so high really brought most of this on. Thanks for asking, and I will pray also for you Charlie. Have a bleesed day, Cindy

Hi Cindycrocker, Thank you for your prayers, that means alot. I will be praying for you. May the Lord give you Peace, strength, and hope. Don't forget to pray for yourself. Ask for wisdom. Also be specific in your request. Faith is also a important key. Don't forget to confess your sins. It is a big barrier in our lives. One last thing, don't forget to give back to the Lord in all things. These are all things that I need alot of work on, but the first step in accomplishing these goals is to realize that they are vital. One last idea and it is something where I need alot of work. Be sure to read His word, soak it up. Let the Scriptures help you. God bless you, you and your family are in my prayers. May He give you Peace, Strength, and Hope. Charlie

My biggest concern right now is our economy. I honestly believe our economy is getting ready to crash. If it does a lot of good people, young and old, Christian and non-Christian are going to suffer. Many may even die. The poor people in this world already have more problems that they need now. They sure don't need any more. I'm one of the poor and I have lived through some really tough times so I know what people can go through in tough times. I'm not concerned for myself and my family nearly as much as I am for others. I know how to survive hard times and I can help my family through it but there are millions of younger people that don't have a clue as to what they would need to do. It could very easily come down to a point where if we are not close enough to God where He can help us we just may not survive. This is one time I really hope I'm wrong but I don't believe I am.

Right now, this very moment, Employment. The job market is tough out there right now. Another burden on my mind right now is my sister Bev. She developed a "growth" for a lack of a better word on her neck. The doctors sent her for a battery of test that all came back negative. The doctors have no idea what it is. They did an operation to remove it and all seems OK for a time. Now it has came back and the doctors are just as baffled as before. She goes in for another operation on Oct. 23rd as that is the earliest that they can get her in.

Thanks so much for posting this discussion. I have been a worship leader at my home church for 5 years. I never dreamed of doing anything like this in my life. I wanted to be a singer, and a writer. I had no idea that God would change my life and call me to write songs and lead worship. Worship is my life. I train worship leaders, giving conferences and workshops. I had built a wonderful network of churches, leaders, pastors, and worship teams. I visited so many churches to lead worship for them. Then something wonderful happened- my husband was accepted to grad school in Maryland. We prayed about it, and felt that God wanted us to go ahead and go to Maryland, and that although it wouldn't be easy for us, he'd take care of us both. We moved from NC to MD 3 weeks ago. I miss my church so much! I miss leading worship so much! I have no contacts here. I've contacted several pastors and churches in the area, and none of them seem to be very interested in adding a worship leader to their leadership team. We've been visiting different churches for worship, but it's nothing like what we're used to. Don't get me wrong- I'm thankful for any opportunity to participate in corporate worship...I just really miss doing what I was called to do...and wonder if I am meant to be a worship leader in this area? If you're in the DC area, and interested in having someone lead worship for your church, please let me know! I feel like there is a huge hole in my heart. I support my husband and want him to advance in his career path. I pray about this night and day, and I know that the Lord hears me...I just haven't gotten a response yet. Thanks for listening, all. Let me know how I can pray for you! In Christ, ODW

Hi ODW, I will be in prayer that the Lord leads you in the way He wants you to go, that doors open, and He starts making things happen. My first piece of advice is probably the one I am worst at: be patient and wait on the Lord. Make sure you be specific and ask the Lord what He wants you to do. Perhaps He wants to use your skills in another way, something that you haven't even thought of yet. A second thought(I am typing off the top of my head, after a long day of work and it is now 11:49pm so if none of this makes sense, forgive me please), sometimes what God wants and what we want is totally different. It might be that God wants the thing we most dread(or perhaps not?). Anyways, God will bless you if you continue to seek His will and use the skills He has given you to praise His name. God bless and keep you, may He direct and guide you. Later Leofa
