Do you still respond to topics similar to what you have responded before?

Hi everyone! What do you do if you see a new topic posted but is similar to what you have responded to several days ago? There are many topics that have been posted but have similar discussions from previous post of other users. Some even have the same title. I think it is written in the mylot guidelines that we should not respond to topics that has similarity to what we have responded before. But because of that it somehow lessens the chance of responding to many topics. What do you then? Do you still choose to responsd or not?

I find because there are so many trying to start discussions that you are bound to come across the same type of discussions all the time and if I respond to one will resopnd to another as well . I didn't realize it was in the guidelines not to do this , but how can we keep track of all the discussions we have responded to ? I would find it really hard to keep track of everything I have respoded to on here for the last year let alone them being similar . I will probably continue to respond though just for the fact that I will respond to any discussion I feel I can give an answer for , if I have nothing to say then I just pass it by and look for one that I understand what they are looking for .

Hi! That's also what I do. I just try to respond to topics that I know and can share alot but usually they are of the similar topics. If I will be so choosy to respond to topics I won't be able to respond alot. But sometimes, the same posts is getting boring already.

I do respond to similar topics, because it is often easier to respond since I was just thinking about that particular topic or subject.

Yeah, in a way I also find similar discussions easier to respond to. Maybe because I have been familiar with it.

I do indeed respond to similar topics. Most of them aren't exactly the same and you can add new things to each discussion. If it is exactly the same then it has the chance of getting deleted and that then is something that is a waste of time...

If it is within a day or two, I often can't be bothered to reply again to the same or similar topic. If it has been weeks or months since I replied to a similar discussion I will add a new response, which will be slightly different from what I said before. Sometimes the same subject can be posted in a different way and requires a different response, but it does get too repetitive to keep writing the same things over and over again. I think it is okay to respond to the same topic if your response is not exactly the same, the guidelines say not to post the same topics but, of course, most new users don't check to see if it has been posted before and they don't know it has been asked a hundred times already. Anyway they have not seen the answers before, so it is still new to them, and different people will respond each time the question is asked.

Hi! I am here in mylot everyday so I always notice that everyday new but similar discussions are being posted. I do respond on them again but having to read the same discussions over and over again and responding on them again is getting repetitive. Before I'm not bothered by it but now, yes I am getting bored with it. Oh well, it's no one's fault actually and the fact that it can't be avoided I shouldn't be distracted by it. Ciao!
