Mine are singing Christmas carols while baking, making chocolates & fudge and trimming the tree. I love the colored Christmas paper, it brings me joy to wrap gifts that I know someone is going to love! I enjoy carols, but am sick of them by January 1st.

My husband and I have only been married a year and my daughter just turn 4 in September so I am looking forward to starting this year with a tradition that we cana do as a family. I am going to make sure to check this discussion later to maybe get some ideas for a good one.

Congratulations on the marriage, we have one. Every year we buy Christmas Oritoments (Sp) from a place we have visted that year and have the date put on it.. Like this year we went to Disneyland and bought a 2006 Mickey one

Family traditions have been started all over for me. I put up the tree my children had when we were in Okinawa and had a small place. My kids are now 19 and 22 and we have had that up every year. It was hard to keep the traditions when you traveled around so much. I love making chocolate balls with my kids. The Angel always goes on the tree last. The more the merrier has always been a tradition for us as well. Invite everyone you know to stop by on Christmas eve or Christmas day. Oh yeah and take down the tree before New Years day. Have you ever heard the saying "Don't take the old year into the new"? For my family that has included the tree from the previous year. Leave it behind and hope for a better year.
