I am sitting here on mylot. And my hubby comes to mind. I know I am smiling. I think that is truly special after 13 years together. I know friends of mine who only complain about their sig others. And are not happy. Now we are by no means perfect. We fight, disagree are often not on the same page. But I still think of him and smile. He makes me laugh. Is that as rare as it seems?

I wouldn't know. I don't know many married couples who seem to have a plethora of good times. They must be out there, but most people seem to be cruising along on a different level. More like, "not entirely happy but not irritated enough to get a divorce yet." So, I'd say you are blessed.

It is not a rare thing. It happens to me all the time. And oh there were lots of times that we get into each other's nerves, but there are also funny moments as well. The funny moments always come to my mind, that's why when i think of my husband, i smile. THe last time it happened was about 12 hours ago. He was at work, and i was home, writing. I remembered what he sent to me via YM, a quote that said "remember that your love for each other should be greater than your need for eachother." Sigh, then smile.

I think it is rare to find that, and I'm one of the lucky ones like you. At any given time of the day he will pop into my mind and I can't help but smile. He is always making me laugh even on the worst of days. We have only been together 3 1/2 years and only had one misunderstanding, it was a matter of miscommunication. But all in all there is nothing I could possibly complain about where he is concerned.

Yes, I do think that it is rare, especially because of the things we here in the cyber world. People on here complain about their spouses all the time, and although I am no saying they have no cause to do so, I am saying that that would definitely make one think that even a passing thought of a spouse would be rare. Today I thought of my fiance as I looked at him whilst playing Metal Gear 2. I smiled because I love him and I know he feels the same for me. I think it's great that after 13 years you still think of your husband, and I hope that you will think of him in adoration for many years to come.
