Trying a new resturant

I tried a new restaurant today and WOW i was impressed. I'd totally go there again. I'm really not one for change - especially where i eat. I like the tried and true restaurants...the restaurants i KNOW don't serve something that will kill me. So that being said... when i decided to try this new place (open 3 weeks now) I stood like a dummy and stared at the menu for a good 10 minutes trying to decide what to get (and making sure it was safe to order food there). I was very impressed because I was overwhelmed with choices and the waitress was VERY helpful...the prices were reasonable and the food was AWESOME. I left a tip. How often do you try new restaurants? do you feel overwhelmed with all the new choices? or do you stick to the familiar?

I love trying new restaurants and new dishes too. I mostly like to try food from different countries. So usually I travel a lot and try food from different countries and get a chance to try a vast range of restaurants too. But the only disadvantage is that, if I like a particular restaurant, I do not get a chance to visit it again. I like restaurants with polite staff and good food. If the food is good but the staff is rude, I do not go there. Environment is very important for me.

That is cool that you tried a new restaurant my friend and I am glad to hear that you liked it so much,I myself am not one to try new restaurants or try new things on the menu,so I prefer to go to the same restaurants where I always get the same things every time but that makes me happy and it keeps me from going insane, because trying new places and looking at new menus usually gives me a headache but I am never sure what to get.

I'm never sure what to get either. I was glad the waitress was so helpful with choosing what to eat!

I took my friends to a new restaurant last night, they tend to find a place and if the food is what they like thats where they stay...so I thought i would find a nice place nearer to them and seeing as it was my tre3at I would pick somewhere new...I found a motel near them with a dining room, I had checked out their menu when i first saw this place, and it look impressive, well last night was the night and thank heavens they loved it, and they said they were going back soon, so I was happy that my night out was a success...

Thats really awesome. Smart to check out the menu before hand. My co-workers and i were talking about calling the place i tried yesterday and seeing if they had a printed menu we could take to work with us so one can call it and order and the other can walk over and get it.

If a new restaurant looks interesting my husband and I will try it, otherwise, we'll stick with the familliar. We don't try new things just for the sake of trying new things, we try what interests us, and if we like it, we add it to our list of familliar places to go that we like.

I tend to be pretty careful about new places due to the shellfish allergy. Its nice lately if i go somewhere with my new boyfriend - he has the same allergy so he knows places that are safe for him too which are different from the places i usually go!
