Here are some more interesting facts about Grampa Simpson's voting record. Special thanks to Xfactor for supplying me with a new source, I can't wait to hear republicans attack this source. Agriculture Issues For all of those farmers out there, John McCain hasn't even bothered to voted on any farm bill since 2002. I guess that shows how much he cares about the midwest, and farmers everywhere. Campaign Finance John McCain talks about being a reformer, but his record says something else. In 2007 he voted NO on a bill titled Lobbying and Donation regulations. This bill limited the power of lobbist to influence elected officals. Sounds like the great reformer voted NO on reforming lobbist that could help him two years later. Grampa also voted NO on Campaign reform Acts of 2001 and 1998. Defense He missed 8 votes in the last year in reguards to the military, and defense. Immigration Didn't vote on the boarder fense, and Immigartion enforcement. Education Funding for Special Education Amendment (Sarah's baby's bill) Grampa voted NO to increase federal funds for children with disabililties. Energy Grampa is so worried about our current energy problems that he hasn't voted on an energy bill since 8/1/2006. Yes that is over two years ago, so I guess Grampa hasn't put his money where his mouth is. Reduction of Foreign Oil Dependence Amendment 2005 Voted NO to reduce foreign oil by 40% by 2025. I guess grampa forgot that he was suppose to vote yes on this, or is it just another McCain flip flop. Nuclear Waste disposal bill Makes yucca mountain the main storage for spent nuclear waste (you can kiss Nevada good bye because of this vote) Enviromental Grampa hasn't voted on any enviromental issue since 2005 (of note because this included votes in reguards to ANWR, I guess this isn't as important as his runningmate thinks it is) Family and Children issues Teen Pregnancy Education Amendment 2006 Grampa voted NO to authorize grants to carry out program to provide education on preventing pregnancies, and for other purposes. I wonder if Sarah's daughter could have bennifited from this? Minimum Wage Grampa has voted NO every chance he gets. Medicare Grampa doesn't need Medicare, so he has voted against it early, and often. He has either voted NO, or didn't even bother voting on medicare issue since 2005 Veterans Issues Here is where John McCain's POW status gives him instant leadership, and credibility. You would expect John to support his friends in uniform on every vote, showing his love, and respect for his fellow men and women in uniform. BUT, this is John McCain, he has voted NO, I repeat NO on every veterans issue that he bothered to show up for, and the others he showed his lack of respect for our men and women in unform by not even bothering to show up. Women's issues John McCain showed how much he supports his female running mate by not bothering to show up for the Equal Pay Bill, I bet women that are voting for him didn't know that. I guess McCain's voting record isn't as strong as he claims it is.

Thanks for an eye-opener! I don't understand why anyone would have voted for that nasty old man, anyway. His buddy Dubya damaged us more than any enemy in our history. Why give him a chance to make that continue? Please, myLotters, no matter how much you think you're better than anyone else, so allowing leaders to stomp all over our rights, freedoms and pleasures is your choice, PLEASE open your eyes to the dangers before us! Shine a light on America instead of strangling her in the darkness of secretive decisions! Americans aren't stupid, and our leaders should not act as if we were. Our participatory government works. Look at what's happened to us because some redneck sneaked behind our backs to fulfill his dangerous agenda. If you can't vote for anyone else, at least try to vote against McCain!

Gee, for a pro choice candidate, Junior doesn't show much enthusiasm for voting on pro choice issues. 3 out of 4 bills were a no votes.

I see you missed Grampa's voting record on supporting Veterans. He actually supports a womens right to chose more than he does veterans. Isn't that sad?

Yes he only voted for it when it made economical sense. The NFL refused to allow them to host a super bowl unless they observed the holiday. That is the sad part, you have a man that would still vote against it if Arizona didn't have an NFL team

What do you mean how about it? That is aweful. He didn't have the cahones to stand up for what was right then, why should we trust him to do that now?
