Power Nap, Long Sleep or Short One?

Which do you think is better- taking a power nap at any given time? a good 8 hour- sleep? 6 hour- sleep? or over-sleeping? Some people say the right length of sleep is 8 hours. Some say its better if it's just 6. Others like sleeping really long. Some say they feel so much energized after taking a good power nap. What do you think? Could this really apply to everybody or its just really up to the person? Personally, I don't really sleep that long. I don't think I have over slept like a lot of my friends do. I used to be insomiac years ago. But I feel that taking a nap within my day is imporant.

I thinks it depends on different people. as for me, I'd like to take a nap after hours working rather than a long sleep. enjoy your mylot.

It's your body that decides how much amount of sleep is good for your body! Everyone says eight hours because it's the medical average of the proper amount of time needed for the body to refresh itself. But if you want to decide how much time is good for you, if have to sleep for different lengths of time and experiment as to which length of time leaves you the most refreshed. Also, a mid-day power nap of not more than eight to twelve minutes is important to increase your productivity and memory!

I do prefer long sleep especailly when its raining like today. The air just keeps on breezing through our window. The sheets feel cold and the sound of raindrops just makes me relax. In my opinion and based from experience 8 hours is just the maximum sleeping hours for me and the minimum would be 5 hours. If i go over my head starts to feel heavy and if I dont reach my 5 hour mark I get irritable and sleepy throughout the day.

I believe that taking a nap at some point of the day is important. Being a student I nap when I get back from class any time I can just to be re-energized and not tired still from my other class.
