Gold or Diamond?

A diamond is forever but how about gold? If you were given the opportunity to be a part of a mining company and given a chance to dig, then somehow you noticed that there were golds and diamonds,(but I know this is quite impossible). which one would you pick and why? Which do you think will you consider as the most precious?
