How do you order/ cook your steak?

I've always liked it well done, since the red part in the middle of a medium or rare steak is always really tough and the flavor doesn't seem to sink in as much. How do you like yours?

Actually were opposite because I find the meat tougher when its well done! I prefer meduim rare.

Really? I find it tough when it's overdone, but not when well-done. The truth is that I've only eaten as low as medium before; never tried rare or medium-rare (except for a piece of venison on a trip to Quebec) before. Too risky in case of bacterial contamination, I thought. But maybe I will someday.
