Sometimes, there's a motif that a celebrant or an organizer wants you to wear when you go their party. For example is the formal, semi-formal clothing etc.. 
I haven't tried going to a party/occasion wearing the clothes but I was just curious if anyone of you here in mylot experienced humiliation just because of wearing the wrong clothes to a party?

i havent experienced it. you see, we always receive invitations and they indicate what kind of attire to wear. thats why we know what to wear.
