Hey everyone. Has anyone attempted the Special K challenge? I'm not much for diets, but this one isn't so bad. I wouldn't mind a two week boost to portion control. I love the cereal too. I just have to make sure I'm getting at least 1200 calories a day. It seems like the meal bars aren't to pack with calories which could be a problem. Not getting enough calories in a day is unhealthy.

Since they changed the recipe of Special K I don't like it! I used to eat Special K without sugar because these cereals already have sugar in them and to add more well that will boost your calorie intake straight away. Now I prefer muesli to be honest. Having a breakfast is important otherwise you will start snacking and that as we know is bad for you. I go to the gym 5 times a week and I use cereals as my carbs to give my body fuel. I actually burn up more calories than I use which is good because I am hoping to lose fat and gain muscle. I don't cereal bars because I find them packed with hidden sugars etc. Much better to eat fruit and a good healthy cereal without too much sugar to keep you going and active. Trouble is when you stick to just one cereal like Special K it gets boring, and your diet needs to be varied, so I don't personally like challenges where you have to eat the same thing over and over and over again! Variety is needed in any well balanced diet.

I bought many different cereals for the challenge, so I won't get bored in the two weeks. The sugar thing does bother me a little, but I'm just doing this for a little kick start so it won't be long term. :)

I haven't tried the challenge really, I mean I haven't followed their rules and I'm not sure exactly what it requires. I eat a lot of Special K though, I love the red berries kind. I should probably try this diet, it would save money on food plus it's yummy. You're right about not consuming 1200 calories a day, it's actually supposed to make you gain weight if you consume less than that because your body thinks that you are starving. Good luck on your diet... I'm going to go research it right now!

I haven't tried that challenge. You will most definitely let me know how it goes for you! I like Special K. Do you eat it for every meal or just one or two? I'm on the Activia challenge - which I tried before but never really ate one every day for the full 14 days. I also started the All Bran challenge. Notice a theme here? Yes I need to lose weight but my digestive system really needs help so I'm working on that too! Let me know how it goes for you.

we just bought the jogurt and fruit special k yesterday. we had it for dinner, but you suppose to eat it twice a day and then eat one regular meal. im on vaccation this week so i wait till monday to try it out for a week. right now i have to eat some more real food.
