Would you choose love over immortality?

I just finished watching Hancock, and indeed it was a marvelous film. It showed reality, of course the story was all about something that was unreal. The thing is, it simply showed that you cannot have everything. You can have power, career, and everything else..but one thing would still be sacrificed. As for Hancock and Mary, they sacrificed their love in order to survive. It's quite a sad twist of the story though...If you were them, would you let go of love and remain immortals? Or would you rather pair up and die? I would rather pair up with my other half and die rather than spending eternity alone..^^

For me I too would choose love over immortality and just like what you have stated all would be worthless if you have no one to share it too,Also being immortal would be pretty boring if you are the only one living on earht, just imagine none to talk to and no friends, that definitely is a lonely world.Hope you liked my response, have a nice day.

Definitely love for me... life is nothing without love. If i really love the person i would do everything for him. Its reallly not love if you choose yourself over that person.

I've not seen Hancock, but I would choose love over immortality. I wouldn't want to live forever anyway, but it would be even worse without love.

That is an interesting question. I would probably pick love. I could not see spending an eternity without love. It would also be hard to watch others around you pass on and get older knowing that you will continue on. I me it may not be the same as the love you have for your significant other but it is still a strong emotional attachment to someone such as a friend. I think that would actually be some form of punishement and not a blessing. It would be neat though to see what the world is like in another 100 years or so, but I think that the cost will just be too high.
