i have a family who really doesn't know when to back off...i mean seriously i am twenty years old and they don't know how to let me live my life, i am not doing anything wrong but in their eyes since i am twenty i should have a house thats paid for a child and be married...and i'm just not ready for children and a wife yet, i want that when i am ready for it in all ways...and they just keep on and on, and i am just like man you got everything handed to you and your bills are still being paid by other people so why are you on me about it...its like impossible, i was just wondering if anyone else on here had this problem maybe you could help me...thanks for taking the time out of your day to stop and read my discussion, and hopefully answer as well, i hope that all of you have had a great day so far and that your day is great for the remainder of the day...thanks again!

I'm 30 but my family isn't like that and it does not bother me either not getting married yet. Like you I also want to put everything in place before entering the chaotic life of marriage. There's a different culture here in the Philippines and in perhaps most of our Asian neighbors. I'm living with my parents and nobody seems to care about that and it doesn't mean either that I'm dependent. I have a job, they have jobs and I contribute food in the house as others in the household do and we live in the same roof. We're doing teamwork in order to survive.
As for you, my advice is do what your heart desires. You don't get married just becuase someone is telling you to do sot. If you do so and you're not ready, you'll only end up with a bad marriage and a miserable life. You're 20, show them that you can decide for yourself. Do what you only want to do.
