If I planted one or two plants indoors over the winter, would they grow their veggies inside in a false season? (Do you know?)
..thanx

Greens tend to be the easiest things to grow indoors under "false seasons" -- especially tropical foodstuffs.
I'm growing dandelions indoors this year, for example, and my Mother's growing collards and lettuce.
Other stuff's a bit more tricky, taking more know-how, creativity, and sometimes more equipment than one normally has.

That's very helpful! I planted just a few cherry tomato seeds, but nothing ever came of it!
Nest time, I'll try some greens instead! And maybe have better luck..

I hope you do! ^_^
Dandelions do really well with real light (nevermind you, since they're "weeds" they're hard to kill, which is a big plus with growing indoors), and collards and lettuce can do just fine under flouresents.

I don't know and have wondered this myself for years. Don't ask why I never tried. I have grown orange, lime and lemon trees from seed. I have grown a potato in a jar of water and the top of a pineapple. And I like to have herbs growing in the kitchen for cooking.
If you try it, be sure to let me know how it goes. I would probably have good luck with things like cabbage or Brussel sprouts because my houses are always cold.

I still haven't sprouted the avacado seed I saved! And plan to grow.. I didn't know all those others could be! I did sprout a celery plant from a celery base once.. I just may try a tomato plant or two this year.. maybe a pepper plant too..

There are a lot of veggies that will grow inside with a as you put it 'false season' they do however require a lot of light which has to be provided artificially, with lights, to give them the right growing time.

They would do much better because there would not be any bug's inside that you would have to worry about. That would be the best part of growing your veggies inside. You can actlly do everything that you do out side in side and it would work better. You know I think I will try that and see how it works.
