you should report this to the staff, I think these cheating guys should be banned, no mercy.

This is more than copying or cheating, it is plagerism and you should report them. Plagerism is never okay and, though flattering, if they get away with it, they will continue to do it. They need to learn that it is wrong...they are stealing someone elses written work.

Personally I agree with you. I think it is disrespectful to everybody and rude. I would think that that is a form of cheating.

yeah meg its really annoying, but i think u cant do anything to stop them stealing your ideas..instead you can feel proud that your way of thinking is better than theirs.. :)

Well, I just wanted to let you know that that just happened to me 3 HOURS ago!! And you talk about being shocked! I was the first one to respond (and so far the last) and as soon as I was finished I noticed that someone left a comment below mine, so I read it...AND IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID!!!!! I was mad, and what made it even worse was all I could do was report them. Hopefully it works cause we are going to have an issue if not!!!!

umm...yes. If you are getting best resposes when they are stolen then I would like to steal a quote or two, if you don't mind. I need about .21 extra by tomorrow morning so if you could start now that would be great! How did you find out that they stole it? I probably wouldn't notice if someone stole something I wrote first. Then I would get mad and report it...except that I don't really think it does anything. Did reporting work for you? Did those people lose points or have their account cancelled or anything? I sure hope so. I noticed people are starting posts that are copied and pasted from news reports and such. Isn't that a copywrite violation of some sort? Can't they get into trouble for it, especially since what they are "writing" they are getting paid for?

yeh I know what you mean, a lot of the posters here are such automatic posting for the money...but hopefully they will get tired of it and we will be left with quality discussions....

Im right with you megs. They are doing the same thing to me and its really making me mad. I spend a lot of time on my responses as well as my new discussions. If mylot is going to be like this, I will b leaving soon.

I dont think I've seen any copy/pasted answeres from other people... But I hate when people just copy out the dictionary definition for whatever the topic may be about! It's just stupid and doesn't contribute anything to the discussion

No, I think that is very rude of them to do, and if I accidently reposted any topics of discussions others have started without realising it I did not even realise the mylot search thing existed a first.. so I apologise for that. But taking someones post like that is plagarism and it's bad taste....

Meg everytime you and other member see that copy and paste cheating member, you must radte him witha minus and report to mylot administrator. It´s not the spirit of most of the members in here so let´s kick that cheaters from mylot. Go on posting good stuff.

I agree with you that is cheating and mylot should put a stop to it by suspending the people that are caught doing it.
