Do you ever grow tired of people who whine and gripe? I know I do. I have had to hear a lot of it lately stemming from neighbors who are unhappy with their house situation to this guy who is on third DWI and still has a job...it goes on. How do you handle it? Do you remove yourself from the situation? I prefer to handle things rather than gripe about it. I think removing myself from hearing a lot of whining is a good step. I think it is ok to vent. We all need to, but to constantly whine and complain gets old. What about your thoughts?

I also wish I can grow tired of these people. However, there are so much of such aplenty around me. If I am in a good mood, I might humor them a bit. If I am not in talking mood, silence is the best approach for me. Anyway, these people definitely can survive better because they are able to whine off their stress. In a way, it is a healthy habit for them. LOL.

I understand where you're coming from. I do not mind whining in small doses. It is when it gets to be a regular happening that it grows cumbersome. I usually keep my mouth shut, but sometimes it can get old.

I'm with you. I can't stand constant whining. I had to tell one of my best friends, "I can't listen to you for an hour at a time 2 or 3 times a week whining about the same thing all the time. If you're that depressed you need some professional help." It hurt me to have to do it, but I was making myself sick trying to figure out how to help her, and it seemed she didn't want help, just someone to whine and moan to.
