because young people dont think clearly. many want to have fun and dont care if the drink and drive drunk. many have kids they leave alone to drink or take the child support money to party with. so i believe the older the better.....

I think they should definitely raise it - they lowered it here (nz) some time ago & it had bad consequences - so they're thinking of raising it again!

i agree to 25 cause they are not adult enough to handle life, let alone drunk. been there done it.

I think that the age is ok. It used be 18, and I think that that is a bit too young, but 21 is ok for the most part. If people are gonna drink irresponsibly, they will do it at 25 as much as they will 21. Now driving however, is different. I think upping the driving age to 18 would be great. Those few years can make a difference between 16 to 18.

Yes i agree with the last part there.. maybe having your driving permit between the age of 16 and 18 to get two years under your belt driving with your parents.

I think 21 is a bit ridiculous to not be letting them drink, in Australia and NZ it is 18, although in NZ they are thinking of raising it back to 20. But if you can vote and get married you should be able to drink. It's not going to stop them from drinking anyway!

yes exactly. In almost every country besides ours the drinking age is lower.. but who knows.

I think america has a stupid law i mean 21 for drinking come on! Every other country in this world isnt that strict on drinking. And if anything it makes people want to do it more and break the law. If you can go fight for you country at a younge age and die or drive a car from 16 then why shouldnt you be able to have a drink. I see it all the time american tourists coming to cancun and there so happy they can legally drink that they totally overdo it. I think that people should make the drinking age lower but educate people on the dangers of drinking as they do with driving. My choice Make the drinking age in the usa LOWER

Honestly, I feel that if the governement thinks you are old enough at 18 to fight in a war, then you should be old enough to drink at 18. But if I had my way, I would raise the enlisting age to 21 and keep drinking age at 21:)
