We are advised to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. However, I don't think many of us do it and I don't think it affects the health those people who don't drink enough water. I only recently started drinking enough (more than 8 glasses a day). The difference that I noticed was my skin looked better :D How much water do you drink? Do you think it matters?

Isn't "sensei" also the Japanese word for doctor and teacher? :D 1.5 liters when you wake up! That's A LOT! I don't think I can drink that much... but then if I have to then I guess I will especially if I'm under therapy. I hope you're feeling much better now!

everyday i drink about 4 little of water a day because i live in a hot and damp country Malaysia. Sometimes if the day getting hotter I will drink more water unless i didn't no go out for a whole i will drink lesser. I think we should drink more water because according to my study do u know our body content are made up almost 70% ++ form water, H2O. Water play a important role in our body everyday ,it help us to disslove water soluble vitamin, prevent constipation, maintain our body stamina and more. That wise i really agree that we need to drink a lot of water to keep our body healthy.

About preventing constipation, that's one of the main reasons why I like water. Ever since I started drinking enough I have better bowel movements LOL I live in the Philippines and I'm not sure which of our countries have a warmer climate.

There are many wastes produce in your body some you have to exhaust it out by water. Everyday a person should drink at least 8 glasses of water to make body health. I abide this rule for more than one year and I feel very good.

Oh really? Water during meals causes hypertension? I've never heard of that. What I heard was that water helps us in our digestion and that's why we have to drink a glass 30 mins before meal, then another glass while you're actually having your meal.

I'm a heavy drinker... of water. :P I don't know how much water I drink everyday as I never bother to count, but I'm pretty sure it's more than 8 glasses. My friends often joke that I drink so much liquids, I'll probably bankrupt a food join that offers unlimited beverages (I don't drink that much, but it's become a popular joke). I'm not actually sure when it started, but I have been a pretty big drinker. There is that problem of always needing a ready restroom (hehe), but your skin does look better when you drink lots of fluids, and also, my body is slimmer. My mother has also told me that drinking lots of water is good for one's health, so I try to drink as much as I can. I'm not the healthiest person out there, and any help to my health is appreciated. :)

Yeah, I know what you mean about getting slimmer. I guess it's because we drink so much that we don't bother eating a lot because we're already full :D I also read about nutritionists saying that because a lot of people are taking for granted drinking water, they sometimes could no longer differentiate the pangs of hunger and the pangs of thirst. They often misinterpret thirst as hunger, so they eat more when in fact what their body needs is water.

I know that water is very important for our bodies but there are times that I just don't feel like drinking it and I have to force myself to. I have even been carrying one when I go out so I can re-fuel the old body. Hahaha

I think it really matters. Water is a very important element in our body as it comprises 75% of our body mass. Unfortunately, I only drink 6 to 8 glasses a day and that's very wrong. I really need to shape up and drink more water. Kudos.

I infect drink 8 glasses of water daily. Sometimes more also ... As you know 70% of our body consists of water. Shortage of water Do cause dehydration.... althoug it is a distraction from work to take water but still we need to have plenty of water to avoid any dehydration . Thanks For raising such a good discussion.....! Happy Mylotting ! Take Care ! Ganesh !

Yeah, I have been dehydrated several times. There was even a time when I didn't realize that I haven't drank water and it was already late in the afternoon at school - my head spun and I had to hold myself against the wall just to make sure I won't collapse.

"It hits the spot" - water definitely hits the spot when I'm thirsty! Soda or juice couldn't quite quench my thirst. But about the taste of water...I'm not so sure. Let's just say I'm not a fan but I drink as much as I can anyways.
