if it is done humanely, and with respect to the animal, and their meat not wasted, then I have no trouble with it.
If I ever keep chickens, which I do hope to do one day, for eggs and for meat, then I will, to mark certain times of the year, sacrifice one in honour of my Gods, humanely and respectfully, giving them no stress or fear, prepare them, and serve them as part of a special meal for the occasion.
this is more humane than buying a chicken in a supermarket.
so long as the animal is not mistreated, not given any cause to feel stress or fear, and killed quickly and humanely, then their remains aren't disrespected by being disposed of rather than used, then the fact that it is classed as sacrifice doesn't make it inhumane.
anyone that would raise or kill an animal in an inhumane way, for whatever reason, needs to be punished.
most examples I have encountered of animal sacrifice in the modern day and age are more humane than the meat trade. or the egg trade. or the milk trade.

then you are not a hypocrite, and that's good.
I still, as an omnivore, consider that fate better than most animals bred for meat, eggs or milk ever get.
and that is why I want to find the time and skills to raise some of my own meat. with love and respect and kindness.

I think these people would not be too happy if the animals sacrificed people to THEIR god/s. However, if people are meat eaters, I see nothing wrong with their engaging in some ritual to honor the animal and the god/s before eating. I do not believe that anyone should waste any kind of food, and especially not living food.

How can you punish someone who was raised thinking this is the way to praise a God. I don't think they should be punished but rather educated. They don't know any better. I also don't think they are inhuman. Here again it comes back to this is the way they were raised and have not learned that it is a precious life they are giving up to a God. Yes, it is a animal but it also is a living creature. I feel sorry for the people that do this. They have not learned to appreciate the beauty of animals. Keep in mind this is only my opinion.
